“Traveling in Yilan is an encounter with the mountains and the sea, as well as the blending of culture and nature.”

On my school holiday (Mrch 4, 2013), Me and my friends traveled to Yilan which is name of county in Northeastern Taiwan. We went there as a backpacker, just have a map and of course some information which is I have been write in my agenda. The first I did before go to Yilan is searching information about “how can we get there”, “what interesting objects we can visit” and “what we can do there”. This I wanna share you some information about travel to Yilan and what we did there… ^^

If your departure’s place is from Taipei, it’s more easy to find the bus. We took Kamalan bus at Fuxing South Roud, the bus office is in front of Science and technology Building MRT Station. We took bus at 09.00 a.m, the bus is on time. We took the bus from Taipei to Jiaosi, and we back to taipei is from Luodong station. It will take the cost :

It will take 1 hour from Taipei to Jiaosi. And then we visited Jiaosi Hotspring.

From Jiaosi Hotspring we went to Wai-ao Beach. From Jiaosi Hotspring we took the bus number 131 to Wai-ao Beach (Wushi port). At that time we’re so lucky because the driver said “today free transportation fee”  ^_^ At Wai-ao Beach we took a rest and had drink at Mr. Brown Coffee, some people said that cafe is the first Mr. Brown cafe in Taiwan, and Lucky twice buy one get one free for hot chocolate we bought ^_^

If you are a surfing lover, I think this is a good beach for surfing. After Lunch we just took some picture.

 From Wai-ao Beach, we back to Jiaosi to had lunch, I got information from my friend that in Jiaosi there is a seafood restaurant, but we unlucky because the seafood restaurant closed, on monday they open at 04:00 pm. So, we are looking for another restaurant. after have lunch, we bought dessert called “dou hua (豆花)”

The last destination is Luodong. We went to Luodong by Train from Jiaoxi Train Station, From Jiaoxi to Luodong the ticket price is NT$ 25,- .

From Luodong station we took taxi to Traditional Arts Museum, the taxi driver will cost you NT$ 50,- for each person. So, from Luodong station to Museum we payed for NT$ 250,- . I think it’s a little bit expensive. If you can bargain, maybe you can got discount.

The entrance fee of Arts Museum is about NT$ 50,- if you are student card’s holder. They open until 06:00 pm.

From Art Museum, the final destination is Luodong Night Market, we also went by Taxi with the same cost.

And then, from Luodong night market we walked to Kamalan Bus Station to back to Taipei.
